Christian Mills, the master wand maker, apprenticed with the Swedish wandmaker Jens Swenson (One of the three best wandmakers in Europe, with Ollivander and Gregorovitch) up until the late 1900's. When Jens decided to retire, he handed the reins to Mr. Mills. Thus was born the Mills Family Wand Company. Now Mr. Mills is one of the best wand makers here in America. We guarantee that each handcrafted and handcarved wand that you'll find in our shop is a unique and one-of-a-kind creation. Each wand is made by two hands, out of real hardwood, with magical cores, with a hand-made box, and is not popped out of a duplicating machine. The wand woods we use are found along the rocky mountains and include Aspen, Cedar, Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, Pine, Walnut, and Willow. The magical cores we use are Unicorn Hair, Thestral Hair, Phoenix Feather, Ashwinder Ash, Basilisk Skin, and Dragon Heartstring. Occasionally, there are exceptions (sometimes we have special woods and cores imported)! Only the finest care and attention goes into each wand.
